Khabib Nurmagomedov Warns Real Madrid Star Antonio Rudiger To ‘Be Careful’ After Soccer Star’s 1v1 Challenge
Antonio Rudiger and Khabib Nurmagomedov
Everyone knows that Khabib Nurmagomedov has an intense passion for soccer. The former UFC champion has frequently expressed his admiration for the beautiful game. Notably, much like Bruce Wayne’s commitment to Gotham, Khabib remains loyal to Real Madrid, the legendary Spanish football club that has captured his heart.
Even though he’s shown plenty of affection for the club, ‘The Eagle’ has recently issued a warning to superstar defender Antonio Rudiger, who challenged him to a one-on-one battle.
Meanwhile, in response, the former UFC star suggested that if they were to face off, it should be inside a cage rather than on the field at Santiago Bernabéu, suggesting he wants an MMA match instead of football. In his words, “1 vs. 1 is not football. This is MMA ))) Be careful.”
Despite his aggressive on-field persona, Rudiger is unlikely to take on this impossible challenge that even top UFC fighters have failed to conquer. However, there is no doubt it will be really fun for fans to see Khabib playing inside the iconic Bernabeu stadium with big stars like Mbappe, Rudiger, and Vinicius Jr.
Khabib Nurmagomedov Once Dreamed of Being a Footballer
One can’t imagine what Khabib would be doing if he weren’t in combat sports, considering he never lost a fight out of 29 and rarely even lost a round. It makes you think he’s been preparing for this since childhood, especially with his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, being one of the greatest coaches.
But that’s not entirely true, as Khabib Nurmagomedov once confessed that he believes football is the top sport and that he dreamed of becoming a footballer.
In his old interview, he once revealed, “Football for me is the no.1 sport. I dreamed of becoming a football player when I was little. Watching it all the time. Football is better, you don’t have to kick people to hurt them. You just go out in the field and show what a great player and professional you are.”
His passion for football is still going strong. He’s regularly seen attending matches, interacting with football stars, sharing his thoughts on the game, and even joining games with his Dagestani teammates. It shows despite his success in combat sports, football holds a special place in his heart.
