Caitlin Clark just wrapped up the WNBA Rookie of the Year discussion for good.
The Indiana Fever’s star rookie put on a masterclass Sunday, posting 28 points and 12 assists in her team’s 100-91 win over the Dallas Wings.

Clark’s 5-of-11 shooting from three had the Wings on their heels throughout the contest, but she also had some absolute dimes.

Her teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, was equally on fire from the floor, finishing with a career-high 36 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc. That spoiled a fantastic showing from Arike Ogunbowale, who posted 34 points and eight boards.
But Clark was the story, yet again, in what is becoming one of the greatest rookie seasons in WNBA history:

Angel Reese – Caitlin Clark debates are extremely ridiculous. Both great players doing great stuff but Caitlin Clark is just simply better

Sunday’s performance was her sixth games with at least 20 points and 10 assists, a WNBA single-season record. And she isn’t doing this for a cellar-dwellerâthe Fever are now 17-16 on the season, currently sixth in the league and in prime position to secure a playoff berth.
We’re beyond the point of discussing Clark as just a rookie. She’s already one of the best players in the WNBA, full stop.
No, she’s not perfect. She had another seven turnovers on Sunday, an enduring issue. But Clark came into the WNBA with unprecedented hype and she’s more than lived up to it.
