The strong message she is sending the league is overwhelming
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese wipes her brow during the first half of a WNBA basketball game against the Indiana Fever, Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, in Chicago
She is one of the most talented players in the WNBA, a young girl that has become a star at a young age and seems to have everything. Angel Reese is a player that has been awarded everything in her first year with the Chicago Sky.
However, all the fame and fortune she has captured from the start of her career, even during her time at LSU with all the national recognition the program has, also comes a lot of negative things.
The young star recently spoke about the matter in the most recent episode of her podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’. She revealed the “dark side” of the WNBA fam that she and other could be a victim of.

The strong words towards the matter
She did not hold back on her beliefs during the podcast. “I’d rather be rich than famous,” Reese said. “Everybody wants to be famous, but they don’t really know what comes with it. It’s fun, all the connections you make and stuff. But sometimes you just want to live a normal life. Just being able to walk down the street casually and not have to take pictures and sign autographs. Sometimes I just want to live a normal, 22-year-old life.”
She had an amazing first season as professional and all that created the atmosphere she explained. She averaged 13-6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, but the bad part was that she could no finish the season due to a wrist injury in a game the Chicago Sky won over the Los Angeles Sparks on September 6.
She is looking forward to coming back next season and even with some criticism because of the rebounding of her misses, she managed to put up a solid number of points. Now she has to cheer on her team and that could help maintain away all the negativity she says being in the league has created.
