Five years later, the woman allegedly threatened to release a “tell-all” book unless Combs paid her $30 million. Combs’ legal team claimed to have recorded a conversation where the woman’s lawyer made this demand. When Combs refused to pay, the woman filed a civil lawsuit against him, which was eventually settled. Agnifilo stressed that Combs settled to avoid damage to his reputation and business, not because of any wrongdoing.
