UFC Fighter Sean Strickland Shares Incredible Experience Sparring with a Navy SEAL
Sean Strickland
The Middleweight division has been unstable since Sean Strickland beat Israel Adesanya and won the UFC middleweight title. Since Strickland became the champion, the Middleweight championship has never been defended in the octagon. The American MMA star is one of the most active UFC stars on social media and recently shared an experience of sparring against a Navy SEAL.
Former Middleweight champion Sean Strickland is often seen getting involved in sparring videos. He had exchanged fists with famous influencers and is heavily reliant on his striking pedigree in the cage. He has previously challenged Navy SEALS and made it clear that he does not think any of the Navy SEALs can stand against him. Sean wrote,
So you guys it finally happened… I sparred a navy seal But I got to know him after the blood and he’s such a great guy. Everything I hate about special forces guys he’s not.. You’re on of the real ones.. dammit man that wasn’t meant for you. Lol!!!!!!
However, Strickland seems to regret his decision to punish the Navy SEAL with a heavy beating. Notably, this is not the first time Strickland has sparred with renowned figures in his gym. He last fought Paulo Costa and beat up the Brazilian throughout the course of five rounds, winning via a unanimous decision in the octagon.
Strickland revealed he only wants to contend for the title and nothing else in the octagon. In an interview, he was asked if he would be open to taking on Robert Whittaker. He made it clear that he has no intentions of taking on the Reaper and only wants to fight the winner of Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis. It will be interesting to see how the Middleweight division shapes up in the octagon.
