On Monday, the Skims founder posted the video advertisement featuring the Please Me artist to her Instagram account.
The video showed Cardi, 31, decked out in the shapewear brand’s clothing as she lied seductively on her side.
The Bodak Yellow rapper flipped her long, red hair to the side, showing off her tanned-colored, skintight top and matching form-fitting shorts, as she recited: “Everybody’s wearing Skims. Are you?”
In the post’s comment section, one fan wrote: “Ok this is EPIC.”
Another person commented: “this is soooo good.”
“Dope Colab,” added a third.
Other fans commented on Cardi’s appearance and how natural she looked in the Skims ad.
One person stated: “This is the most beautiful I have ever seen Cardi B. She looks absolutely stunning.”
“This is the softest I’ve ever seen her,” mentioned another.
A third fan wrote: “@iamcardib soooooooo beautiful Omg This look so unique.”
Another commenter remarked: “She looks amazing.”
While a fifth stated: “Kinda cringy but overall cute!”
Many of the comments applauded Kim, 42, on her superb ability to market the brand’s products.
“I said it once, I’ll say it again…one thing about Kim is she knows exactly how to market!, asserted one fan.
“Marketing queen!,” added another.
“Omg I’m buying everything @iamcardib is wearing!,” remarked a third.
Earlier this month, Cardi responded to leaked comments made by Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, 46, about her rise to fame.
The Drip rapper took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to emphasize a point made by Kanye after he blasted her talent.
In the initial drama, Kanye spoke about Cardi B in a leaked segment from an unreleased documentary, according to HotNnewHipHop.
In a clip from the footage circulating on X, Kanye ranted about Cardi B while on the phone.
The producer raged: “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati. She don’t write her raps, she’s just there to sound as ignorant as possible… You know, she has literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposefully.
“They put her there, and now she doesn’t know what to do, she has no idea what the f**k is going on.”
Kanye concluded: “She thinks it’s just a blessing from the universe. It ain’t no blessing from the f**king universe.”
In response, Cardi pulled up an interview from last year in which Kanye spoke to Jason Lee at Hollywood Unlocked about his collab with the so-called plant.
In the interview, he said: “My cousins were saying ‘come by here’ yesterday but I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean. Like I always believed in her.”
Cardi posted the affirmative clip on X and added a red heart emoji.
In the comment section of Cardi’s post, many fans and critics debated whether Kanye’s new comments canceled out his leaked, private criticism.
One person said: “This means nothing he still said u a plant you think you ate.”
A second agreed: “Oh she’s in denial.”
Another critic asked: “What’s more believable? A behind the doors conversation or an interview with ur friend who just coerced him to do a collab with u?”
“This proves nothing sweetie… you’re still a fraud,” added a fourth social media user.
However, one fan praised: “NOW THATS HOW U RESPOND!”
Cardi B has plenty of beef with other stars, including a feud with Madonna and tension with YouTuber MrBeast.
Some fans even worried that she’d greatly insulted Kim after she spilled plastic surgery secrets about the Kardashians.
Earlier this year, Cardi B revealed that after she had a botched nose job, the family was able to give her “a list of people” to call to get the matter fixed.
After Cardi’s comments, one fan claimed on Reddit: “Kim gonna go after Cardi. The public (us) are going to ‘commend’ Cardi for being open about obvious surgery. Honesty policy. The Kardashians will try ride the honesty train and admit to having an eyebrow tint maybe. Bravery.”
A second wrote: “Kim is going to deny deny deny this.”
Another asserted: “They’re going to try to blackball her after this.”
The Redditors’ theories proved ultimately to be incorrect as Kim worked with Cardi on the new Skims campaign.
