Caitlyn Clark’s boyfriend strongly reacted to her pregame outfit as the Indiana Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury 95 to 86 on July 12th. During the matchup, Fever guard Caitlyn Clark broke a franchise record for assists in a single quarter with seven and became the first rookie in WNBA history to record 400 points, 100 rebounds, and 150 assists. Clark also recorded her fifth consecutive double-double, scoring 20 points, 13 assists, and six rebounds.

Fans knew Clark was feeling confident before facing the Mercury at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as she sported black pants and a matching tube top. Clark, who recently became the first woman to win the ESPY Award for Record-Breaking Performance for becoming the NCAA’s all-time scorer during her final season at Iowa, was all smiles.

Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, reacted to her pregame fit on his Instagram stories. He posted a photo of Clark entering the arena with the heart-eye emoji, showing his admiration for her look. McCaffrey, a fellow Iowa alum who works for the Indiana Pacers, celebrated the couple’s one-year anniversary in April. He marked the occasion with a tribute on Instagram, writing, “One year, the best. Doing life with you has been easy, and you never cease to amaze me. Can’t wait to watch you live out your dreams in person. Love you.”

McCaffrey continues to attend as many Fever games as possible while Clark breaks record after record in the WNBA. Indiana has two more games before the league’s Olympic break, during which Clark will compete on the All-Star roster against Team USA on July 20.
