Sabrina Ionescu EXPOSED Cheryl Reeve & TEAM USA Because of THIS – This coach and the committee, should be ashamed by having a criminal on their team, that should have been some other deserving players position | HO

Sabrina Ionescu is a professional basketball player currently serving as a guard for the New York Liberty. Recently, she was selected to join the USA Olympic team, coached by Cheryl Reeve. This new opportunity highlights Ionescu’s exceptional skills and contributions to the sport as she takes on the challenge of representing her country on the Olympic stage. “Well, I mean, I didn’t know what the franchise record for threes was, but they were going under as a shooter—that’s the most disrespectful thing you could do,” Ionescu remarked.

Ionescu believes that the USA team is approaching their goals one step at a time. “I don’t even think we’ve talked about that yet. We’re all taking it one step at a time. We understand what our opponents are capable of and focus on controlling what we can manage ourselves. Understanding that we’ve played them before, we just have to control what we can and be the best we can be every single day. Like Stewie said, all these days of practice and games are crucial for us to build chemistry and be the best team we know we can be.”

The best part for Ionescu is coming together as a team with a shared goal. “The vibes are high. The hospitality has been great here, and I’d say the best part is just being together for a common goal. We’re here in training camp, getting the last practices in before we leave, and it’s been really fun to experience together.”

Ionescu’s feelings about joining the USA team have evolved. “I feel less like a rookie than I did last year. Being here, understanding what coach wants from us, understanding what it takes to play in a World Cup against the best players in the world. Now coming here for the second time, still being one of the younger players on the team but knowing what’s expected of me and what I had to do to prepare to get here. Also, knowing what is needed from me in training camp and how I can continue to get better and learn from being surrounded by the best coaches and players in the league.”

The growing investment in women’s basketball is truly amazing to Ionescu. “It’s amazing to see that investment and wanting players to be the best they can be. We have a teammate competing in the Three-Point Shootout, and we’ve been cheering and hyping her up. It’s exciting to see how it has evolved from last year and how it will continue to get better every year.”

This opportunity offers Ionescu a chance to showcase her skills on a larger stage. “This would have been an amazing opportunity for us, but understanding that we’re both so young in the league, we’ll have many years to do it. The future is bright for her in terms of what she’ll do at All-Star games.”

Ionescu has always dreamed of competing in the Olympics. “Every time the Olympics came on, I watched religiously. It was the best players in the world competing for a gold medal. Growing up, I had the Olympic rings as my background, knowing that I wanted to get there one day.”

Representing her country is a great honor for Ionescu. “It’s always an honor to be here, put USA across my chest, and compete. I had a healthy offseason, which was great for me mentally to train on what I wanted to improve. Working on my strength and length to get into the paint and take off on one foot, something I couldn’t do early in my career. Putting in a lot of work to improve my game and not just rely on three-point shooting but driving and kicking and finding ways to get my teammates open while putting pressure on defenses.”

“I can’t really put it into words. It’s been a goal and dream of mine since I was a little girl. Now being here, I just want to be in the moment, present, never taking any of these moments for granted but understanding what an honor it is.”

The team’s chemistry has been great so far, according to Ionescu. “We’ve had many training camps and opportunities to be together. The ability to come together and achieve a common goal, everyone understands what that is. We’re all working together during this short time, and no day goes by without us taking full advantage of the time we have together on the court.”

Being on the USA team means her role is distinct, surrounded by some of the best players in the league. “Understanding your role on this team, you’re not needed to score 30 points. You’re surrounded by the best players, so it’s about understanding how you can be better for your teammates. The ultimate goal is to win gold. Everything else, stats, points, doesn’t matter.”

Ionescu also shared some advice for those in competitions like the Three-Point Shootout. “Try to lock in on one shot at a time. It can be overwhelming knowing everyone is watching, but it’s just you and the basket. Don’t overthink it, stay locked in on one shot at a time, and enjoy it. It’s a fun competition, and I’m excited for JJ; she’s a great shooter and will have a lot of fun.”

Reflecting on her foundation event, Ionescu emphasized the importance of reaching underprivileged kids. “There were many kids who hadn’t been to a camp before. Understanding that we’re able to target a different demographic of people in that region who haven’t had the opportunity to come to a camp is important. I’m glad I could have that event there and touch a lot of kids who haven’t had the opportunity to come to a camp.”

Seeing the achievements of the USA team and watching their improvement over time excites Ionescu. “The first half has been great, seeing what we’ve accomplished and continuing to get better every game. Fought some adversity, grinded out a lot of wins, and now we look forward to the second half, continuing to find ways to get better.”

Ionescu cherishes the experience of representing her country alongside Stewie. “Being able to lean on her and have someone I’m close to out there on this journey with me is something I don’t take for granted.”

The exclusion of Caitlyn Clark from the Team USA roster, despite her elite skill set, has sparked significant debate. Cheryl Reeve’s decision has been controversial, drawing criticism and discussions about the criteria behind team selections. Some believe there is resentment and jealousy within the team influencing these decisions. Despite the controversy, the focus remains on achieving the common goal of winning gold at the Olympics.
