Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark couldn’t hide her delight after leading the Indiana Fever to a crucial win over the New York Liberty on Saturday, all while making history in the process.
Clark and the Fever entered the game as underdogs, especially since the Liberty had beaten them by an average margin of 14 points in their previous three meetings this season. However, Indiana certainly didn’t play like one as they started off hot and executed perfectly in crunch time to secure the 83-78 victory.
Sure enough, Clark was at the forefront of the win. She tallied 19 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists to propel the Fever and become the first rookie in WNBA history to actually record a triple-double.

After the big win and the major career milestone, Clark took to Instagram to celebrate. She didn’t have a lot to say, but her six-word post was enough to sum up the big day and how ecstatic she was with the result.
Amid her heated Rookie of the Year battle with Chicago Sky wing Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark has certainly put herself back in the lead with her latest display. After all, she did it against the team with the best record in the WNBA.
The Fever are also back in playoff contention, with their 9-13 record putting them at No. 8. Indeed, it couldn’t have been any better for Clark and Co.
