The Indiana Fever hosted the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday in a matchup where they lost 86-75. Indiana has now lost two of its last three games heading into the final leg of the regular season.
While Indiana struggled to find consistency on either end against the Aces, many fans are blaming the loss on the WNBA officiating crew.
There were two plays in particular that fans are questioning.
The first comes with an offensive foul on Caitlin Clark. The rookie drove into the basket, being guarded by Aces guard Tiffany Hayes.
Clark was dribbling the ball with her right hand and used her left hand to block Hayes away from the ball. She used her off-hand to shield the defender, but as Clark was guiding her way into the basket, she put her hand on Hayes’ chest.
Hayes then snapped her neck back on the play and grabbed her face, which fans believe to be a flop on the WNBA veteran.
“We just laughing at the acting job,” said one fan.

“Unreal,” mentioned one fan. “We are cooked if the Refs continue calling our games like this. Christie and the refs be playing against us.”

Indiana Fever fans also commented on a controversial play against Aliyah Boston.
The Fever star was called for a foul while defending A’ja Wilson. The MVP frontrunner was backing down Boston, putting both of her arms on the center’s back.
As Wilson rose for the turnaround jumper, Boston put her hands in the air. She didn’t make contact with Wilson on the shot attempt, but the Fever forward was jabbing at the opposing player before she attempted the shot.
