The USA men’s basketball team cruised to a 122-87 quarterfinal win over Brazil on Tuesday, but many were holding their breath after star forward LeBron James took an elbow to the face and had to leave the game.

Team USA head coach Steve Kerr updated reporters after the game of James’ status, noting he received four stitches near his left eye. All signs point to James’ injury not being too serious.

James immediately clutched his eye and fell to the ground after getting struck by Brazil’s Georginho de Paula. He stayed on the bench for a few moments before heading to the locker room for further evaluation.

Limited to just 17 minutes, the four-time NBA MVP scored 12 points, nine assists and three rebounds. James has averaged 13.8 points, 7.8 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game in USA’s four wins.

He’s not expected to miss USA’s semifinal matchup against Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic an Serbia. The winner of that game will advance to face the winner of France and Germany in the gold-medal game.

The U.S. previously beat Serbia 110-84 on July 28. James played 26:52 in that game, scoring 21 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and one steal.
