LeBron James calls out Caitlin Clark’s haters
Caitlin Clark played in probably the most high-intensity game of her WNBA career on Friday. The Indiana Fever locked horns with Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. It was essentially the deciding game for who will be named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.
Well, not only did CC have a terrific game, but she also had a career night. Clark finished the matchup with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 12 assists in 32 minutes of playing time. The 1x WNBA All-Star’s performance propelled the Fever to a solid 100-81 win over the Sky.
For many, it put an end to her constant comparisons with fellow rookie Reese. While Reese still finished the game with a double-double, she was undoubtedly overshadowed by Clark’s greatness.
LeBron James hypes up Clark
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has always supported his fellow basketball athletes. Evidently, James doesn’t discriminate when it comes to praising the upcoming stars of the WNBA. King James is seemingly following Clark’s rookie season. Upon seeing the Fever star’s excellent performance vs. the Sky, the Lakers superstar clapped back at her haters via X (formerly known as Twitter)
“CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS,” James tweeted.

Following this career-high scoring night, Clark has taken her season average to 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game. Now, the Fever have a 16-16 record as they continue to make the final push for the playoffs.
James wants the Fever to add a veteran to the team
For what it’s worth, Indiana has made a stunning comeback over the past few games. The team is well-rested and continued to dominate opponents since returning from the extended Olympic break. Apart from Clark, Lexie Hull and Kelsey Mitchell are having excellent seasons.
But it feels like the Fever could use another veteran presence on the roster to have a stunning performance in the postseason. LBJ shared the same sentiment on X.
“Yeah they need another piece,” James said. “A solid vet! Tina definitely still got plenty game left. A couple others in mind too.

James previously shared his advice for Clark. It’s obvious that he wants the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader to welcome the responsibility of taking the WNBA to the next level throughout her career.
A stepping stone in that process will be to lead the Fever to a WNBA Championship sooner rather than later. On an individual level, it should be great to see Clark win the 2024 WNBA ROTY award.
