Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was so heated during Sunday’s showdown with the Seattle Storm that she had to be held back by a teammate in the closing seconds of the game.

In a fan video that is now going viral, Clark can be seen jawing at the Storm’s bench with just 3.1 seconds left in the game. It’s unknown what was said between both sides prior to the angry exchange and what caused it, although the Fever star was visibly upset as she taunted their opponents.

Katie Lou Samuelson proceeded to intervene and prevent the situation from further escalating. Clark, for her part, seemed to calm down after that as she smiled while interacting with her Fever teammate.

For what it’s worth, prior to the war of words, Caitlin Clark appeared to annoy the Storm players when she hyped the home crowd–raising her hands and all–in front of the rivals’ bench. Moments later, a Seattle player pushed her from behind.

There was also an incident between Fever coach Christie Sides and Storm coach Noelle Quinn, as the two shared some words on the sidelines.

Whether or not those commotions were related to Clark’s exchange with the Storm bench is unclear, but one thing is certain: both teams were heated for the most part of the game.
