Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark has a new friend, and his name is Lil Freddy.
The breakout WNBA superstar has already developed a fondness for the mini version of the team’s mascot, Freddie Fever, as she was delighted to see him at a recent Indiana game.
During a recent press availability, Clark discussed how big of a fan she is of the Fever mascot.
“There’s a mini Freddy; I like mini Freddy,” Clark told reporters about her new mascot pal. “Mini Freddy just shows up randomly every 10 games. It’s like, you never know when he might show up. And then, mini Freddy is suddenly on the court for a game.”
Clark gave Lil Freddy a big hug the last time the two met each other on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court, further solidifying the sensational rookie as a certified Lil Freddy supporter.
While Clark has garnered tons of new fans during her WNBA debut, Lil Freddy has gained a major fan himself in Clark.
