A fan sitting courtside was escorted out of his seat for a short time during Wednesday night’s Game 2 after Fever rookie Caitlin Clark reported him to officials.
In a dead ball period after a Fever foul, Clark went up to officials and pointed out someone sitting in the second row of courtside seats. Mohegan Sun Arena security quickly went up to him and escorted him out of his seat and into the back of the house.

While security was escorting the fan out, Clark talked with veteran Sun guard DeWanna Bonner, who drew the foul. Bonner and Clark had already been chippy once during the game, when Clark thought Bonner didn’t give her enough landing space on a 3-pointer.
This time, what Bonner said to Clark made her walk away immediately, shaking her head.
“Stayed focused on what’s on the floor and my four other teammates,” she told ESPN following the first quarter about the feistiness of the game so far.

At the same time, the Fever were challenging the foul call because they believed it was called on the wrong player. The foul was ultimately successful, being changed to Lexie Hull.
By the time the review was over, the fan had returned to his seat.
