Caitlin Clark clearly didn’t have any rust to shake off when the Indiana Fever resumed their 2024 WNBA season against the Phoenix Mercury on Friday night.

The rookie sensation picked up right where she left off, continuing to wow the WNBA world in her debut season.

Clark wasted no time, dropping 13 points in the first quarter alone. She finished the first half with an impressive 16-point, five-assist stat line.

Former WNBA All-Star Rebecca Lobo took to social media with her reaction to Clark’s stellar performance.

“Really fun first half between @PhoenixMercury and @IndianaFever. Caitlin Clark with 16 pts, 5 assists and only 1 TO in 18 first half minutes,” Lobo wrote on

Clark continued her impressive play in the second half. The former Iowa basketball superstar finished the game with 29 points and 10 assists — notching yet another points-assists double-double. Her fellow All-Star teammate Kelsey Mitchell chipped in with 28 points in the Fever’s 98-89 victory.
