The Indiana Fever are one of the hottest teams in the WNBA following the Olympic break.

Led by Caitlin Clark, who won AP Player of the Week, the Fever have gone 2-0 since their return with strong wins over the Phoenix Mercury and the Seattle Storm.

They have a solid core secured for the foreseeable future with Clark and Aliyah Boston. However, if they want to win a WNBA championship sooner rather than later, they may need to make a big player acquisition.

WNBA fans think they have found the ideal pairing for Clark in the upcoming free agent, identifying Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally as a perfect fit for the future in Indiana.

Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally (0) speaks to the press before game one of the 2023 WNBA Playoffs at Michelob Ultra Arena.

Sabally was out for the first half of the 2024 WNBA season with a shoulder injury, but since her return on August 16, she is playing at an All-Star caliber level. In two games, Sabally is averaging 22.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. She was also an All-WNBA first-teamer last season.

WNBA and Fever fans are well aware of her upcoming free agency in 2025 and took to social media to call for her to team up with Clark.

“Go to Indy and curtains for the W”

“Coach Dunn needs to get the checkbook out”

“She’s awesome – would love her teaming with Caitlin Clark !!”

“We need her at Indiana. Dunnn put that money ona real shooter.”

“Go to the Indiana Fever where all you have to do is run and get easy buckets… and so much driving space to get downhill.”

“Welcome to the Indiana Fever.”

The Fever’s third All-Star, Kelsey Mitchell, is also set to become a free agent in the offseason. Indiana will have over $650,000 in cap space, so it would be possible to resign Mitchell while bringing in a star like Sabally.
