The recent adaptation of Netflix’s One Piece cements this notion that if done right, live-action can be a huge hit.

Hence, the idea of a Berserk live-action project would be a treat to the fans, as the dark fantasy title is surely going to get many fans excited. To add to the popularity, a fan posted a poll of how Henry Cavill portraying the role of the protagonist would add to the fame following the show. However, the results were appalling, as it was something fans of the Man of Steel actor did not anticipate, even in their wildest dreams.

Henry Cavill Is NOT Welcomed in the Berserk Franchise

Kentaro Miura’s Berserk has been going strong, despite the original creator of the series passing away at an early age. For a title that does not assure its fans any confirmation if it will return anytime soon on the shelves, it remains quite popular.

While the storyline of the series is a 10 out of 10, the protagonist, Guts, is what makes the plot so special. The character is considered to be the greatest and a far superior name to any, which includes names like Monkey D. Luffy, Naruto Uzumaki, and Son-Goku.

As a result, a fan shared a poll on r/Berserk, asking the community if they would be interested in watching a live-action adaptation if Henry Cavill were to portray the role of Guts.

A total of 241 votes were cast in the Reddit post, where surprisingly, only 89 people wanted to see Cavill in the role. On the other hand, a whopping 152 people responded were not interested in watching the actor in the role of Guts.

With a morbid childhood consisting of several traumas and heinous experiences that would drain out every effort of survival from a person. From the death of his mother to getting betrayed by his mercenary group, his life is full of difficult experiences.

However, they did not pull the plug on the idea because fans voiced their opinion on the post and explained how other names following the character would be far better.

To even think of fans turning down The King of the Nerds, Henry Cavill in such roles might be surprising, but fans believe that he must take his time in reading the source material and give ample time to understand the work and the complex character.
