This week Cardi B announced that she gave birth to a baby girl on September 7, 2024 whose name has yet to be revealed. This marks Cardi’s third child with her ex-husband Offset, legally Kiari Kendrell Cephus, who was there to support her while she gave birth in the hospital room. The WAP hitmaker first announced her pregnancy back on August 1. Her pregnancy post on Instagram began with the caption: “With every ending comes a new beginning!”

In addition to her new baby girl, Cardi is also a mother to her six-year-old daughter Kulture and two-year-old son Wave whom she also shares with her ex Offset. On Saturday Night Live in 2018, Cardi revealed that she was pregnant with her first child during her performance of ‘Be Careful’ in a figure-hugging dress revealing her baby bump following months of rumors. On July 10th, 2018 Cardi gave birth to her daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.

At the BET Awards in June 2021, Cardi revealed she was pregnant with her second child. She gave birth to the healthy baby boy on September 4th, 2021. In April 2022, she revealed her son’s name was Wave Set Cephus.

Cardi previously opened up about her journey with motherhood in an interview with PureWow. Sharing advice for new mothers, she said: “Be prepared for it all. Your children will challenge you, but you will love them beyond belief. I would do anything for my little babies!!”

She then sweetly went on to reflect on how “rewarding” it has been for her to be a mother and never realized how much it would mean to her before having kids. She gushed: “I love my children!! They’re my best friends.”

Cardi shares her three children with rapper Offset whom she has shared a turbulent relationship filled with cheating scandals, children, and collaborative tracks with since early 2017. Cardi and Offset secretly married on Sept. 20, 2017, before the rapper got down on one knee and proposed to her onstage during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia in October that same year.
