Cardi B provided fans with new details on Thursday, Aug. 8, about the “freak accident” that sent her to the hospital a few days ago.

The rapper first revealed that she was “in so much pain” after the incident in an X Spaces recording earlier this week, according to People. In the recording, a clip of which was later reshared on X, formerly Twitter, the “I Like It” hitmaker marveled at how an accident that was seemingly slight had impacted her so much.

“It became something that is so big, to the point I was literally paralyzed,” she explained. “And that little thing almost cost me my little one to come. But it didn’t.”

The Grammy Award-winning artist only recently announced that she is expecting her third child. She shared a couple of photos on Instagram on Aug. 1 showing off her baby bump, which she paired with a loving caption that ended with a sweet message: “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

 

The “freak accident” shortly thereafter threatened that future, she later revealed. In a new X Spaces recording on Thursday, the “WAP” rapper offered more information about the incident that left her hospitalized for three days.

As Cardi B, 31, explained, she was walking downstairs in her home when her socks-clad feet slipped on the floor. “I practically fell,” she said. “But I was trying to prevent myself from falling, so I was holding myself on the railing, and my foot slid.”

She then felt what she described as a “weird jerk” or “a pop” and had trouble walking. After lying down for a nap, she awoke to the feeling of pain in her lower stomach and “felt paralyzed.”

“I couldn’t even get up,” she revealed.

Cardi B then went to the hospital to get checked out. “What we found out was, I tore a ligament in my pelvis, and it’s right where my baby’s head is at,” she explained. The event caused her to have “contractions every two minutes for a whole 24 hours.”

Though she has now been released from the hospital, Cardi B said “little things” have still “bothered” her injury.

“Yesterday I was just in so much pain, I was just in bed all day,” she shared.

During a recent X Spaces chat, the 31-year-old rapper disclosed that she endured a “freak accident” that left her temporarily “paralyzed” and nearly resulted in a pregnancy loss.

“I had a f-cking freak accident. I don’t know how something — well, it wasn’t little, it actually hurt,” she said, per People Magazine, without going into specific details. “It doesn’t really happen often, but it become [sic] so big to the point I was literally paralyzed and that little thing almost cost me my little one to come.”

Fortunately, “it didn’t” and she is “feeling good” since it happened. “I came home, but I came home high as a kite,” she said, laughing. “Today, I woke up sober, honey. I’m dying, If I don’t feel good in four hours, I’m going to the hospital and I don’t give a f-ck.”

“I’mma exaggerate this sh-t so I can get more morphine. Morphine me down! I don’t give a damn,” she said again, adding a chuckle.

Cardi B Files For Divorce From Offset… Again

Cardi B and Offset, who married in September 2017, have navigated a turbulent relationship marked by both highs and lows.

Their relationship faced a big challenge in late December 2018 when Offset’s infidelity was exposed, leading to a brief separation. However, the couple reconciled in early 2019, and by 2020, Cardi B shared the reason behind her decision to forgive Offset and give their love another opportunity.

When the divorce filing news broke, a source, who spoke to Page Six, claimed that this second divorce wasn’t a shock to Offset.

“They both have been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now,” the insider said. “It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable.”

Offset also “liked” an Instagram post hours after the news broke that announced the divorce filing.

After Offset was seen with a woman, later identified as PrettyRedz, at a casino, he took to Instagram Live to address the situation, insisting that the woman is merely a friend, stating, “Shorty ain’t my shorty.”

“People really need to do the research,” he added. “I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8-month pregnant woman wtf I look like being outside publicly cheating SMD!!!”

A source close to the situation revealed that the recent cheating rumors were not the final straw for Cardi B—she has had enough and is determined not to overlook this latest issue.

“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the insider said earlier this month. “This is something she wants to do.”
