Henry Cavill was ‘sick to his stomach’ after his major Deadpool & Wolverine cameo – S

“”I remember hearing the next day that Henry was sick…”

Henry Cavill, known for his iconic role as Superman, took on a surprising cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine that left him feeling quite unwell.

Director Shawn Levy revealed to The New York Times that Cavill became “sick to his stomach” after an eight-hour shoot during which he smoked cigars non-stop for his role.

“I think we all were, including poor Henry Cavill, who not only had that pumped-up muscular body but kept that cigar lit and in his mouth for the entirety of the shoot day.”

“I remember hearing the next day that Henry was sick to his stomach because he had been inhaling cigar smoke for eight hours straight, but never once did he waver.”

Cavill’s role added a memorable and entertaining twist to the much-anticipated film, which continues to receive positive feedback from audiences.

In the film, Cavill appears as a variant of Wolverine, humorously dubbed “Cavillrine” by Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

“Can I please point out that Ryan brilliantly named Henry Cavill’s Logan “the Cavillrine”? In the case of Henry, it was not long after everything went down with DC and word came that Henry was being replaced as Superman.”

Levy explained that Cavill agreed to the cameo for its subversive and playful nature, as well as the opportunity to humorously transition from his Superman persona to a Marvel character.

“Given that Deadpool is in constant conversation with culture, it felt like a great opportunity to first of all cast Henry Cavill in a part that he would kick ass at, but also to poke fun at that other comic-book-founded movie studio and play with some self-awareness there.”
