The DC Cinematic Universe has found a new male god to play Superman.

On June 28, DC announced that David Corenswet will be the next person to be assigned the role of Clark Kent, the famous superhero Superman. Director James Gunn – who is responsible for the content of the film studio – confirmed the information on his personal Twitter page. Accordingly, Corenswet will officially debut in Superman: Legacy , scheduled to be released in 2025. Meanwhile, Rachel Brosnahan was assigned the role of Lois Lane – Clark Kent’s girlfriend.

Immediately after the news was announced, many fans searched for information about this new star couple, especially David Corenswet, who was not yet a familiar name to the majority of the public. The female lead Brosnahan once attracted attention with her leading role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – a series that won 20 Emmy awards.

However, he said he would like to portray a different side if given the chance to play the character. “I really wish someone would play the character in a more dynamic way. I love the dark and gritty version of Henry. However, I would love to see a more positive and bright image in the next Superman.”
