A re-release of one of the pop star’s hit tracks is seemingly a subtle shot at the Chicago rapper.
If you think that you’re favorite artist works hard, Taylor Swift works harder, especially when it comes to her taking the top spot.
Just recently, the pop star was in the news again after she blocked Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign from going number one on the Billboard 200 after releasing their latest collaboration album, Vultures 2. This ends a long-running streak the Chicago artist had, as nearly every album the MC has released (except for “College Dropout,” and “Kids See Ghosts”) has debuted at the top U.S. album charts. But not this time.
You see, Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department” has been number one for the past 14 weeks. But after news that she blocked her hip-hop rival, she released a live mashup of “thanK you aIMee” to look like “thank You aimEe.”
On the new stylized version of the track, the capital letters spell out “YE,” marking another chapter in their weird decades-long feud. Funny enough, the original version of the track was allegedly a song about Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, as the capital letters previously spelled out “KIM.”
Although Swift has never confirmed any of this, the timing of this can’t be a coincidence, right?

As we know, Ye has publicly embarrassed Swift multiple times over the years.
Everyone remembers where they were when Ye infamously interrupted Swift as she was accepting an award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and yelled, “Taylor I’m real happy for you, I’m gonna let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”
He did it again on the 2016 song, “Famous,” where he raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b***h famous.”
