Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating for a long time. However, she has not said the “magic word” publicly until now. The relationship between the two first began in September 2023, around the time when the multi-platinum pop superstar was seen among the fans at Arrowhead during the Kansas City Chiefs’ defeat of the Chicago Bears.
Since then, the couple have been spotted doing all sorts of dates, each featuring various public displays of affection.
But it was only at Wednesday’s MTV Video Music Awards that she finally uttered the word “boyfriend” in a publicly attended setting. While accepting Video of the Year for “Fortnight”, Swift said:
“I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video]. And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic; and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot, because I’ll always remember that.”

Kelce was not in attendance at the ceremony, as the Chiefs are deep in practice for their Sunday game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Taylor Swift was “dying laughing” Travis Kelce’s brother’s MNF antics
Obviously, everyone knows about Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce. However, she has also taken a liking for his elder brother Jason.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center made his debut as an analyst for ESPN on Monday, when the San Francisco 49ers hosted the New York Jets. During the pre-game show, his co-host Scott Van Pelt remarked that Jason was “wearing a shirt he got at the mall because he left his travel bag in the truck.”
The one-time Super Bowl champion commented:
“It fits my belly now. I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but my tits are still struggling.”
As it turned out, Kelce (the tight end) and Swift were watching the segment. And he revealed his reaction on Wednesday’s episode of New Heights:
“And, me and Taylor were watching that absolutely dying laughing at it. It was the perfect thing to open everybody up to what they were gonna experience for the next 18 weeks.” [From 1:29:20 mark onwards]
