Dan Hooker Drops Bombshell News About ‘Golden Goose,’ Conor McGregor’s Next Potential Opponent

Dan Hooker Ready To Take On Conor McGregor next

Conor McGregor and Dan Hooker

Dan Hooker has been on a hot streak lately, clawing his way back into the top five rankings. He is hungry for big fights and even bigger paydays. And who’s the biggest payday in MMA? You guessed it – Conor McGregor.

‘The Hangman’ recently shared some interesting thoughts about Conor McGregor’s next opponent. He believes the long-awaited McGregor vs. Chandler bout has lost its luster, and now that the Irishman is without an opponent, he wants to step in.

“We’ll just see how everything plays out because obviously, the Golden Goose is without a dance partner as well…He’s without a fight, I know Conor is hungry to fight and fight someone he can get something from, and it makes a lot of sense,” said Hooker via Submission Radio.

Dan Hooker has a stipulation, however, for fighting ‘The Notorious.’ He wants both fighters to prove they’ve been drinking beers daily during fight camp. Daily breathalyzer tests to show they have been hitting the sauce. It’s a humorous suggestion that plays into both fighter’s reputations as party animals.

Of course, this isn’t exactly a scientific approach to fight preparation. But it does highlight Hooker’s sense of humor and willingness to play the game. He knows a fight with McGregor is as much about entertainment as it is about competition.

Dan Hooker Calls Out Conor McGregor After Beating Mateusz Gamrot

With a penchant for thrilling bouts, the Kiwi fighter is back in the spotlight. Fresh off a stellar victory at UFC 305, he’s setting his sights high. Really high. Hooker’s win over Mateusz Gamrot wasn’t just impressive, it was a statement. After a rough patch in his career, ‘The Hangman’ has found his groove again with three wins in a row.

But Dan Hooker isn’t content with just winning. He wants the big fish. And they don’t come much more significant than Conor McGregor in the UFC. The Kiwi fighter didn’t mince words in his post-fight interview.

“Look at me now. I want them all, brother. I want the BMF, I want Conor McGregor, I want a title eliminatorI want everything, brother. Want it all, Sean [Shelby]. Woohoo.”

Calling Conor McGregor out isn’t exactly a new idea in the UFC. It’s practically done by every second fighter looking to make a splash. But coming from Hooker, it feels different because this fight actually makes sense.
