Mike Tyson is officially back in training after stomach ulcer scare
In a monumental comeback, the boxing legend Mike Tyson has officially returned to training, sparking excitement among his fans and the wider combat sports community. The news comes after Tyson’s card against YouTube star Jake Paul was postponed due to a medical emergency earlier this year.
Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, was set to take on Paul later this month, but the bout was rescheduled for November 15th after Tyson became nauseous and dizzy on a flight from Los Angeles to Miami in May. Medical professionals warned the 57-year-old to take a break, leading to the postponement of the highly anticipated showdown.
However, the hiatus has not dampened Tyson’s spirits, as evidenced by the recent footage he has shared on social media. In a series of videos posted to his Snapchat story, Tyson can be seen hitting the pads with his trainer, Rafael Cordeiro, showcasing his signature power and lightning-fast hand speed.
Mike Tyson is ‘doing great’ after health scare on flight
Speaking on the matter, Jake Paul expressed his hope that Tyson is “good” and “healthy” as the two prepare to face off in the ring. “He’s ready to go; he just needed a couple of weeks, so he’s back to training. We’re all just praying and hoping that everything is good and that he stays healthy,” said Paul.
Tyson’s last professional bout was a defeat to Ireland’s Kevin McBride in June 2005, but the boxing legend made a successful return to the ring in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. Now, as he gears up to take on the 9-1 fighter Jake Paul, fans are eagerly anticipating Tyson’s comeback and the potential fireworks that may unfold.
With Tyson’s menacing form on display in his latest training footage, the upcoming bout promises to be a thrilling spectacle for combat sports enthusiasts. As the highly anticipated showdown draws near, the world of boxing eagerly awaits the return of one of the sport’s most iconic and legendary figures.
