Olympics fans stunned by Femke Bol’s voice after clip resurfaces of sprinter months before she stole 4×400 gold for the Netherlands

Netherlands sprinter Femke Bol went viral on social media just minutes after incredibly snatching goal from the United States in the 4x400m – due to the sound of her voice.

Bol, whose best race is the 400 hurdles, ran her final lap in an incredible 47.93 seconds in pouring rain and the Netherlands won the race in 3 minutes, 7.43 seconds – .31 clear of the United States.

It prompted a video from back in March to resurface on X when Bol was talking to the BBC after setting 400m indoor world record.

‘I swear if you close your eyes, you could convince yourself Mickey Mouse has just broken the 400m indoor world record for Netherlands,’ the post was captioned, and continued underneath: ‘I saw this last night and she just seems and incredible, nicest human being and it’s an amazing accomplishment.

‘But aye, this is all I could think of. Femke Bol you are fantastic.’

Some fans were critical the X user in question for the joke about Bol, to which another follower replied: ‘A few comments that seem unable to realize that you can admire somebody and still have a joke at the same time.’

And on Saturday, the sporting world was overflowing with admiration for Bol’s stunning triumph.
