Ryan Garcia Calls For Olympic Boycott Following Controversial Satirical Paris Games Opening Ceremony
Ryan Garcia
Ryan Garcia’s antics have been in the headlines for quite some time, and as such, another one just popped in. The professional boxer, known for his lightning-fast hands, has thrown a verbal punch at the Paris Olympics 2024. The young fighter took to Instagram to voice his displeasure over what he perceives as religious disrespect.
Garcia didn’t pull any punches when talking about the alleged disrespect. He declared that the Paris Olympics needed to be banned as they were actively mocking the Christian religion and Jesus Christ.
“The Olympics needs to be boycotted now. You can’t disrespect religion in front of millions. This ain’t right no one watch,” Garcia stated.
The picture in question was apparently a reenactment of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic ‘The Last Supper,’ with the athletes enacting the roles of the disciples and Christ. Garcia, a self-proclaimed man of God, took offense to this picture and called for an immediate ban.
Garcia himself has been in a lot of trouble lately. He was banned from boxing for a year for Ostarine use. Adding to that, ‘KingRy’ was also expelled from the WBC following his racist and Islamophobic rants. He further got into trouble with his ex-wife after threatening her and destroying property in their house. It seems Garcia just can’t catch a break.
Garcia has once again stepped into controversy, this time outside the ring. The young fighter launched a social media tirade against the LGBTQ+ community recently. His inflammatory remarks have sparked widespread criticism and debate across the sports world.
Ryan Garcia, known for his lightning-fast hands, minced no words in his posts on X. He bluntly stated his lack of support for the LGBTQ+ community in colorful language. The boxer even went as far as telling them to “burn in hell.”
His tweet storm didn’t stop there, as he labeled the LGBTQ+ community a “cult.” However, in a curious twist, Garcia appeared to backpedal slightly in a follow-up post. He clarified that he could find “forgiveness and love” for gay and lesbian individuals. However, he maintained his stance against what he perceived as the community’s influence on children.
The 25-year-old’s recent behavior has been raising eyebrows in the boxing community. From alleged break-ins to racist rants, Ryan Garcia seems to be fighting battles on multiple fronts. It’s like he is trying to set a record for most controversies in a single year. In the meantime, the sports world watches and waits. Will Garcia apologize, or will he double down on his statements? Only the boxer himself knows that!
