Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor and Sean O’Malley are arguably two of the biggest stars in the UFC currently. But the clash between them has been rising for quite some time now. The bantamweight champion recently made waves with a bold claim. He believes he can defeat none other than Conor McGregor in a fight.

O’Malley’s confidence is as colorful as his hair. He didn’t mince words when discussing the potential matchup on his YouTube channel. His reasoning behind his argument lies in his confidence in his fighting style and his height.

“There’s weight classes for a reason. I’m not gonna chirp those guys [at lightweight]. I will chirp Conor [McGregor] because I do believe I can beat Conor in a fight. I’m not just saying that, I think stylistically I could beat Conor in a fight…I wouldn’t call out somebody if I didn’t think I could beat them in a fight…Conor’s 5’7″…He’s thick, but he’s short…Talk sh*t, let’s do it.” O’Malley said.

The young champion thinks his style matches up well against McGregor’s. He pointed out the Irishman’s height, calling him “thick but short.” O’Malley stands at 5’11”, giving him a 3-inch height advantage over McGregor. But it’s not just about physical attributes for O’Malley. He took a jab at McGregor’s recent record and overall skills. In a tweet, he critiqued the former double champion’s cardio and jiu-jitsu.

Both McGregor and O’Malley are known to be excellent counter punchers. Both have excellent timing for using their counters to get the opponents to the ground. But ‘Sugar’ believes that he has an advantage over the ‘Notorious’ in every aspect of the game.

Sean O’Malley Takes Aim At Conor McGregor After His Comments On Ostarine Study

O’Malley has taken off the gloves and is now swinging at the Irish superstar. ‘Sugar’ fired off a scathing assessment of McGregor on social media. The young champion’s words were as sharp as his striking skills.

Sean O’Malley talked about Conor McGregor’s absence in any ‘Greatest Of All Time’ conversation. He acknowledged that McGregor was very entertaining but didn’t do enough to warrant a GOAT tag. Plus, he berated him on his alleged drug use and urged him to undergo rehab. O’Malley didn’t forget to mention McGregor’s recent record either, with him losing 4 of his last five fights.

This all came pouring out of O’Malley after McGregor put a laughing emoji on a post about Ostarine use. In the post, ‘Sugar’ talks about how the banned substance can be transmitted from one person to another through sweat. O’Malley himself had tested positive for Ostarine use some years back, and that’s why this jab from McGregor hit too close to home.
