UFC 306 Octagon Girls: Major Update On New Cage Women Getting Featured On Dana White’s Noche Event In Las Vegas Sphere
Octagon girls
The fight world is buzzing about UFC 306, and it’s not just because of the punches and kicks. Dana White has got something special up his sleeve for the Noche event at the Las Vegas Sphere
UFC is bringing in a whole new crew of octagon girls. And keeping up with the Mexican Independence Day theme, they are all going to be Mexican! Dana White recently confirmed that out of the eight ring girls, six will be native-born Mexicans, while two are second-generation Mexicans.
Now, fans might be thinking, what do octagon girls have to do with the actual fighting? Well, these ladies have become as much a part of UFC culture as the fights themselves. And Dana White is making sure to stick as close as possible to the Mexican theme.
But this isn’t just about eye candy. It’s a smart move by the UFC brass. They’re clearly trying to connect with their Mexican and Mexican-American fanbase. And that is a huge demographic for combat sports.
UFC Co-Creator Slams Dana White For Promoting Ring Girls Instead Of Fighters
Dana White and company are pulling out all the stops for this Mexican Independence Day celebration. They’ve lined up a card stacked with Mexican fighters. But that’s not what’s got people talking. The UFC announced they’re bringing in eight new ring girls for the event. Six of them are Mexican-born, while two are second-generation
Well, not everyone’s impressed. Campbell McLaren, the UFC co-creator and former producer, did not mince words. He took to social media with a zinger and berated the UFC CEO for his decisions.
“The Mexican women in Combate are fighters. Not round card girls,” said McLaren via X.
These days, McLaren is running his own MMA promotion called Combate Global. Furthermore, he claimed the UFC has been erasing his contributions to the sport. He revealed that he was the one who hired Joe Rogan, and Dana White has been lying about that as well. Fans will most likely not ever know what happened between these two that led to such animosity.
