WATCH: Alex Grasso Enjoys As Sean O’Malley And Merab Dvalishvili Get Into A Heated Argument At UFC 306 Promo Shoot

Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili get heated as Alexa Grasso watches

Sean O’Malley, Merab Dvalishvili, and Alexa Grasso

Alexa Grasso’s expression says it all! The recent promo shoot for UFC 306 between top bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili and champion Sean O’Malley was intense. The duo got into a heated argument over O’Malley’s coach, with security keeping a close eye on both. Grasso, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy the chaos!

The drama unfolded as fighters gathered to promote the upcoming UFC 306 card in Las Vegas. It’s set for September 14th, coinciding with Mexican Independence Day. Dvalishvili, still steamed about a past incident, approached O’Malley with fighting words.

He was “so pissed” about a previous run-in with O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch. Apparently, Dvalishvili had threatened to smash O’Malley inside the cage and then smash his coach outside. But O’Malley wasn’t having any of it. He retorted back, saying that ‘The Machine’ should take this issue up with Welch himself. O’Malley even went as far as to warn him of the consequences of fighting someone of a bigger weight class.

Meanwhile, poor Grasso looked on with wide eyes and an open mouth, probably wishing for some popcorn. Her expression made the entire interaction a must-see. It’s safe to say the UFC 306 press conferences and weigh-ins will be anything but dull.

Sean O’Malley Shares A Hilarious Story About Merab Dvalishvili Talking About Knockouts

Some fighters are known for their lightning fists. Others, well, not so much. Enter Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, two bantamweights with very different reputations. Both, however, are still at the top of the division.

O’Malley, the reigning champion, is known for his highlight-reel knockouts. His fists are practically pay-per-view events all by themselves. Dvalishvili, on the other hand, is more of a decision dominator. He’s like a human blanket, smothering opponents for 15 or 25 minutes. Recently, these two engaged in a verbal sparring match about their knockout prowess. Talk about a mismatch!

“We were talking about knockouts, and I was like, ‘Bro, How are gonna knock me out? He said,’ I knocked people out.’ I said, ‘Who the f**k did you knock out?’ He goes ‘Raufeon Stots’…He said, ‘Who have you knocked out?’ I said,’ Aljo. Remember that? Eddie Wineland, Thomas Almeida, Petr Yan, Jose Quinonez and Raulian Paiva, and all of em,” O’Malley said via his YouTube channel.

Dvalsihvili lost this verbal sparring after O’Malley’s list of knockout victims continued. His knockout-heavy style is undoubtedly more crowd-pleasing. But Dvalishvili’s suffocating pressure has its own merits. It’s not pretty, but it’s effective, just like that of Khabib Nurmagomedov. Fight fans are in for a treat as they will witness the classic showdown between a striker and a grappler headlining UFC 306 at the Las Vegas Sphere.
