Nina Warhurst was called out by one eagle-eyed BBC Breakfast fan over her report on King Charles this morning.
Nina Warhurst was corrected by a sharp-eyed viewer during today’s BBC Breakfast. The 43-year-old BBC host, alongside Roger Johnson, was delivering the day’s most important news stories.
Nina went on to tell breakfast viewers: “The King will attend a church service near Balmoral this morning on the second anniversary of the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.”
She added: “Charles will head to Crathie Kirk for private prayer and reflection. The late Queen, who worshipped at the same church, was staying at the same highland estate when she died at the age of 96, two years ago.”
Despite the beloved BBC star’s respectful tone while presenting, not everyone was impressed. One fan pointed out that she should have used the title “King Charles” instead of just his first name, suggesting it lacked the proper formality, reports the Express.

A viewer named Deborah took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, to correct the oversight, tweeting: “@BBCBreakfast. KING Charles if you please Nina.” (sic)
King Charles III ascended to the throne on September 8, 2022, after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, an event that led to nationwide mourning.
Today, the 75-year-old monarch, accompanied by Queen Camilla, will reflect on his mother’s memory. Following a period of challenges, they spent the summer at their Scottish retreat in Aberdeenshire.
His second year on the throne has been challenging, with both he and his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, receiving cancer diagnoses.

On Accession Day, the Rt Rev Justin Welby stated: “Today we remember the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and mark the second anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Charles III.
“As we pray for the royal family today, we give thanks for Queen Elizabeth’s life of faith and devotion and continue to pray for the King in his steadfast service to our nation.”
In other news, a damning NHS England review made headlines, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer branding the state of our healthcare as “unforgivable”.
The BBC also featured interviews with various families and individuals participating in the Great North Run.
BBC Breakfast is broadcast every day from 6am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
