Get this, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on July 29 in midtown NYC. According to reports, a resident emerged from an apartment building, angrily shouting at people to leave and even kicking a Cybertruck. Cardi B, seated in a Black SUV and dressed in a pink tracksuit, leaned out of the window and threatened the woman, saying, “I’m recording you, b**ch, I’ll f**k you up for real.” The altercation ended when the woman eventually went back inside.

What’s wild is an eyewitness confirmed the details, telling The New York Post that people had gathered outside the building to take pictures. The resident who confronted the “Bodak Yellow” artist did so to inform the crowd that they couldn’t be there, which escalated the situation. “All of a sudden I heard Cardi B’s voice and I was like, ‘No way is that her,’” the witness recounted. “I turned around to see her and I was like, ‘No way, what the f**k?’ I walked over and I couldn’t believe it was Cardi B.”

Check this out, in an effort to provide context, a fan page posted a longer video of the incident on social media. “Since they wanna start narratives, here’s the full video of Cardi B in NYC,” they wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Originally one woman was arguing about a driveway, harassing other people and yelling. Cardi B stepped in because she didn’t like the harasser’s behavior towards others.”

Now naturally, Cardi B herself addressed the situation on social media, offering her perspective. “[B**ches] trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care,” she wrote. “I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason. Like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!”

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time this happens. Cardi has way too much to lose and her haters are well, haters. That part.
