Jake Paul is gearing up for his highly anticipated clash with Mike Perry, set for July 20 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The bout promises to be an exhilarating eight-round cruiserweight contest.

Originally, Paul was slated to face boxing legend Mike Tyson on the same date. However, the bout was postponed to November 15 after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up, rendering him medically unfit to compete this summer. Perry, a former UFC fighter who has made a name for himself in bare-knuckle boxing, stepped in to ensure Paul remains active while awaiting his lucrative Netflix fight with Tyson.

Standing at a smaller stature, Perry has never fought above 185 pounds in his combat sports career. However, at 32, he is in his physical prime and presents a significant challenge to Paul, whose professional boxing record stands at 9-1. Perry’s entry into the ring is highly anticipated, given his reputation as one of the best bare-knuckle boxers since leaving the UFC in 2021.

Jake Paul is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation for the fight. His training footage, shared on Instagram, has captivated fans and showcased his impressive hand speed and agility. One particular clip shows Paul using a spinning burn rotator machine, a device designed to enhance hand speed and forearm strength.

Fans have flooded the comment section with admiration for Paul’s rapid hand movements. Comments such as “Dang he’s fast,” “So fast,” and “Lightning quick hands” highlight the excitement and anticipation surrounding his performance.

Paul has expressed a desire to face Perry in an MMA match following their boxing bout. Having signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in January 2023, Paul is eager to showcase his skills in the MMA arena.

“I’m down – when I beat Mike Perry in boxing, f*** it, we can run it in MMA,” Paul said in an interview with DAZN. “I want an MMA fight. The (PFL) Smart Cage is literally right there. Once I start MMA, my wrestling background is going to come out, and I think I’ll be a very dangerous MMA fighter, as well. So, Mike Perry can get it – my hands are trisexual.”

As the July 20 fight approaches, fans are eager to see if Jake Paul’s blistering hand speed and rigorous training will translate into victory against Mike Perry. This showdown promises to be a thrilling encounter, setting the stage for Paul’s eventual clash with Mike Tyson in November.
