Hailey Van Lith and the Team USA 3×3 finally got their first win of the Olympics. After a 0-3 start, Van Lith and company defeated Spain on Thursday to move to 1-3 in Paris.
At the game were a number of big stars, including US swimmer Katie Ledecky and NBA superstar LeBron James. Kevin Durant was also on hand for the game against Australia, so the USA stars have been supporting Van Lith and the team all the way through.
After the win against Spain, Van Lith mentioned what it meant having LeBron James on hand, and she used one word to describe it: “Awesome,” (h/t ESPN).

Van Lith added more on the stars coming out. “That is awesome,” Van Lith said. “They ask us how our team is doing. They talk to us. They care how we are doing.
It’s a terrific feeling to have stars such as Ledecky, LeBron, and Durant supporting them on the biggest stage while representing the US.
And Van Lith even mentioned the advice they were given.
“They have given us a little (advice) about handling the pressure,” Van Lith stated. “They have shared some good advice about wearing the USA on your chest.”
Team USA is back at it on Friday and will look to continue winning games after finally getting the first victory. Maybe the advice from LeBron James and company will help.
