Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has sparked controversy with his latest remarks about fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua. Fury, never one to shy away from bold statements, has claimed that Joshua has a “glass chin” and predicted that he will be knocked out by Daniel Dubois in their upcoming match.

In an interview with iFL TV, Fury did not hold back in his assessment of Joshua’s chances against Dubois. “Anthony Joshua has a glass chin,” Fury stated bluntly. “He can’t take a punch, and he’s going to get knocked out by Daniel Dubois on the Big Day.”

Fury’s comments have sent shockwaves through the boxing community, as he is known for his outspoken nature and mind games. However, his critique of Joshua’s chin is not entirely new.

Fury has previously questioned Joshua’s ability to withstand powerful punches, pointing to Joshua’s past knockouts as evidence of his vulnerability in the ring.

The highly anticipated match between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois is set to take place at Wembley Stadium on September 21. Dubbed as the Big Day, this fight is expected to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year.

Both fighters have been training intensively, with Dubois aiming to cement his status as a top contender and Joshua looking to prove his resilience and skill.

Joshua, a former two-time world heavyweight champion, is known for his impressive physique, technical prowess, and powerful punches. Despite his achievements, Joshua has faced criticism for his perceived susceptibility to knockouts, especially after his losses to Andy Ruiz Jr. and Oleksandr Usyk.

Dubois, on the other hand, is seen as a rising star in the heavyweight division. Known for his knockout power and aggressive style, Dubois has been climbing the ranks quickly and is eager to take on a high-profile opponent like Joshua.

Fury’s comments have elicited a range of reactions from the boxing world. Prominent figures in the sport have weighed in, with some agreeing with Fury’s assessment and others defending Joshua’s capabilities.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who manages Joshua, responded to Fury’s remarks by saying, “Tyson loves to talk, but we’ll see what happens in the ring. AJ has faced some of the toughest opponents in the world and has proven himself time and again. This fight with Dubois will be no different.”

Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis also commented, “Joshua has the skills and the heart of a champion. Sure, he’s had some tough fights, but that’s what boxing is about. Dubois is a strong contender, but I wouldn’t count Joshua out.”

In a recent statement, Joshua addressed the upcoming match and Fury’s comments, saying, “I’m not paying attention to the noise. I’m focused on my training and my game plan. I’ll be ready to show everyone what I’m capable of.”

Dubois, confident in his abilities, remarked, “This is my chance to prove myself on the big stage. I respect Joshua, but I believe I have what it takes to knock him out. I’m ready for this fight.”
