TD Jakes Responds to False Rumors and Scandals on Social Media

Acclaimed minister TD Jakes recently addressed the false rumors circulating about him on social media, advising his supporters to log off and ignore the baseless claims. These rumors, which spread mainly on platforms like TikTok, accuse Jakes of attending sex parties hosted by rapper and businessman Sean “Diddy” Combs, and further questioned the pastor’s sexuality.

During a Christmas service streamed live on YouTube, Jakes expressed concern over the situation. “Some of you have come to hear what I will say. You can log off if you expect me to address a lie,” Jakes said, speaking above the applause from the audience. “I will not use this holy day or this sacred podium to address falsehoods when I have the opportunity to teach the truth.”

These remarks were made in response to the online allegations that Jakes was a frequent attendee of Diddy’s parties. Jordan H., director of communications for TD Jakes Ministries and The Potter’s House, spoke to The Christian Post, categorically denying the rumors, labeling them as “false and absurd.”

“What has always been true, as the late minister Charles H. Spurgeon once said, is that if you want the truth to spread, you need an express train to pull it. However, if you want a lie to spread, it will fly as light as a feather, carried by a single breath,” the representative added. “There is far more important work to be done to create a better world.”

Jakes’ representative emphasized the pastor’s continued dedication to creating meaningful change around the globe, guided by principles of compassion, service, and ministry.

Despite the unfounded rumors, Jakes remains committed to his calling, helping millions around the world. His team dismissed the accusations as “uninformed and conspiratorial speculation,” noting that Jakes’ work would continue unfazed by the baseless claims.

These rumors began when Jermaine McKinley, a YouTuber and host of Tough News, claimed that a source close to Cassie, a former singer associated with Diddy, provided a USB drive that allegedly contained footage from sex parties hosted by Diddy, which Jakes supposedly attended. This information reportedly came from materials linked to Kim Porter, Diddy’s late ex-girlfriend.

However, Jakes’ representative expressed disappointment in the spread of these fake stories, citing the rise of “deepfakes” and the distortion of facts that contribute to the circulation of false sensationalism.

In the face of these lies, Jakes continues to stand firm in his mission to inspire positive change. Guided by timeless principles of empathy and service, Jakes remains focused on helping those who are most in need and working to build a more compassionate world.

These false accusations, no matter how widespread, are just another hurdle in the long journey of Jakes’ ministry. Through it all, the pastor has remained a beacon of strength, compassion, and truth.
