Appalachian State football star smacks teammate with his own HELMET in wild brawl during practice | HO

Two Appalachian State players got into it in practice this week… as one of them was seen ripping off his teammate’s helmet and then beating him with it while the whole fight was being filmed.

Viral footage shared on X, Tuesday, shows the moment when a pass rusher in a black No. 12 Mountaineers jersey started brawling with a blocker in a white No. 73 uniform during 11-on-11 scrimmage.

At the start of the scrap, the pair go back and forth before the guy in the black jersey takes things to another level by grabbing his teammate’s facemask.

He pulls on it so hard that he manages to yank it off the guy in white altogether.

The defensive player then attempts to hit his rival’s head with the helmet.

The entire fight between both moments was caught on camera

Two Appalachian State players started fighting out of nowhere in preseason practice this week

In a statement obtained by TMZ Sports, the school declined to name the attacker, although it did reveal that the player was facing disciplinary action internally.

‘This behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the App State football program,’ head coach Shawn Clark told the outlet.

The incident will remind NFL fans of an on-field spat between Myles Garrett, of the Cleveland Browns, and Mason Rudolph, of the Pittsburgh Steelers, in November 2019.

In that game, Garrett ripped off Rudolph’s helmet before attempting to hit his rival with it in the head.

This week’s fight in Mountaineers practice comes after a strong 2023 season for the program.

Appalachian State finished with a record of 9-5 and finished second overall in the Sunbelt East Division standings.

What’s more is that the Mountaineers won their postseason bowl game against the Miami (OH) Redhawks, 13-9.
