Jake Paul and Mike Perry’s weigh-in on Friday night ahead of their much-anticipated boxing match quickly turned into a tense altercation, culminating in Paul shoving Perry off the stage. Following the scuffle, Paul launched into a tirade against UFC president Dana White and MMA fighters, accusing them of attempting to undermine his career.

During the weigh-in at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, Paul and Perry exchanged heated words before Paul forcefully shoved Perry, causing him to stumble across the stage. Security intervened to separate the two fighters, but not before the tension between them was palpable.

After the confrontation, Paul took to the stage with Ariel Helwani for an interview, where he didn’t hold back his feelings. “He flew like six feet,” Paul said about the shove. He then directed his frustration towards Dana White and the MMA community: “Dana White said that he’s going to give (Perry) a UFC contract if he could knock me out. Well, guess what, Dana? You can rip up the (expletive) contract because I’m going to (expletive) up Mike Perry. Anyone you send at me, any one of your MMA fighters is getting (expletive) up.”

Paul continued, “They’ve been trying to assassinate me. They don’t want me in this sport. They hate that I run this sport, but when you try to assassinate a guy like me, it only makes me bigger. I’m on a mission from God, a mission from God, a servant of God to save this sport. And that’s exactly what I will keep doing. Keep on winning, keep on fighting.”

Perry, who also has a background in the UFC and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, wasn’t intimidated. After being restrained by security, he declared, “They’re working hard to protect him, bro, but tomorrow night in the ring, when it’s just me and him, no protection. He’s going down.” Perry, known for his aggressive fighting style, promised to bring the “Platinum Pressure” in their bout.

Jake Paul has made a name for himself in boxing by taking on and defeating several former MMA fighters, including Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Ben Askren. His fight against Perry was organized after his scheduled bout with Mike Tyson was postponed. Paul boasts a professional record of 9-1 with six knockouts, while Perry, who weighed in at 196.6 pounds, is 5-0 in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship but was knocked out in his only pro boxing match in 2015.

The match between Paul and Perry promises to be an explosive encounter, with both fighters eager to prove themselves. The tension from the weigh-in only adds to the anticipation surrounding this bout.
