On Friday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will battle Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for the fourth and final time of the 2024 WNBA season.
The Fever took the first two battles, but the Sky won the most recent. Two of the three games have been decided by one point.
With the intensity of the rivalry between Clark and Reese, the tight games between Indiana and Chicago this year, and the playoff race, demand for tickets is very high.
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports
The ticket price surpassed the Fever and Sky’s matchup in June, which set the previous WNBA record of a $287 average ticket price. Friday’s game is also 159% more expensive than the average Sky home game ($129).
WNBA fans couldn’t believe the cost of this must-see WNBA game and took to social media to leave their thoughts.

The Fever have a strong lead for the seventh seed in the WNBA playoffs, and since the return from the Olympic break, they have been one of the better teams in the league with a 4-1 record.
On the other hand, the Sky have lost some ground in the race for the eighth and final seed as the Dream have pulled within one game. Although the Fever game isn’t a must-win for Chicago, a victory will still help their postseason chances tremendously.
