Caitlin Clark became the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double Saturday, reaching two figures in points, rebounds, and assists for the Indiana Fever‘s game against the New York Liberty.
The totals helped the surging Fever to an 83-78 win.
Clark came close last week to getting a triple-double, but was just a rebound shy of the mark. Today, she went over the top in the fourth quarter against the Liberty.
After Kayla Thornton missed a shot, Clark collected her 10th rebound, to go with 11 assists and 16 points, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The win capped a big week for Clark, who was earlier named to the WNBA all-star team.
