WNBA superstars and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark continue to shatter records in her league.
She’s taken the league to new heights, and her play has done all the talking. Prior to Clark leading her team to victory, she knocked down her first 3-pointer of the game in the first quarter, and with that came another record that she had toppled.
Clark broke the WNBA rookie single-season three-point record. That three in the first quarter surpassed Rhyne Howard, who knocked down 85 threes in 2022.

In the process of breaking the record, Clark led the Fever to an 84-80 victory over the Connecticut Sun to improve to 15-16 on the season. Clark finished the game shooting 3-for-12 from three, scoring 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
After the game, Clark spoke about the victory and breaking the record.
“I just think it speaks to the way we play offense,” Clark said. “Just fast, up-tempo. I feel like I’m definitely capable of shooting it a little bit better.”

Clark’s teammate Kelsey Mitchell also praised her after the game and spoke about what she brings to the team, which struggled mightily to start the season.
“I think the best part about it is that our chemistry continues to get better,” Mitchell told NBA TV after the game. “I value what Caitlin brings to the table because not only does she have the pace and the space, but she can shoot the lights out and you just got to be ready when your number’s called with a person like that.”
Clark became the first WNBA player to have at least 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists in six consecutive games. On top of that, it was her 10th straight game with at least 15 points and five rebounds, which puts her up with future Hall of Famer Diana Taurasi as the player who has hit the mark.
The 22-year-old has been on a tear all season long, averaging 18 points and a league-high 8.2 assists per game. Clark is also averaging 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 35 minutes of action per game.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes is averaging 2.8 three-pointers per game, which is tied for fourth-best in the WNBA. She also became the fastest player in league history to record 500 points and 200 assists earlier this month, something no rookie had ever done before.
Clark has taken the women’s game by storm. This is only the beginning of great things for Clark and the Fever.
