Britney Spears, 41, just recently released her bombshell memoir, The Woman in Me, which explores her life in the spotlight, as well as the conservatorship that she was placed under for over 13 years.

Now, as the Princess of Pop reflects on her biggest years in the industry, she’s thinking about another major star who once performed for her when she was just a tween: Taylor Swift, 33.

In a new post (seen here), Spears praised Swift’s artistry and reflected on the first moment that she ever met the “Love Story” singer.

“This is way back when but kinda cool,” Spears began. “During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door. My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself.

There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’ I was like of course !!! He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar…I was like wow wow she’s unbelievable !!!”

The “Toxic” singer added, “We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She’s stunning !!! Girl crush.”

In her post, Spears includes two photos side by side. The first appears to be the snap that she references in her caption, when Swift came to visit her on tour.

Although the image has the year 2003 added to the bottom, Spears was on her Oops!… I Did It Again Tour in 2000, which means Swift would’ve only been around 11 years old at the time.

Then, the photo on the right was taken from the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, where Spears would end up taking home the prize for Video of the Year for her visual for “Piece of Me.” That same year, Swift was nominated for Best New Artist. (Now, Swift has four Video of the Year titles to her name.)
