Kim Kardashian And Ye Finalize Divorce With $200K Monthly In Child Support And Shared Custody
After drawn-out proceedings, countless online rants, one Pete Davidson, one Julia Fox, and a few models in between, KimYe is officially over with. According to multiple reports, Kim Kardashian and Ye have finalized their divorce after agreeing on child custody and property.
Divorce documents obtained by TH say Kim and Ye have joint physical and legal custody of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Despite the shared custody, West will have to pay Kardashian $200,000 in child support. Additionally, he’s responsible for 50 percent of their children’s medical, educational, and security costs.
Kim And Ye Will Use Mediation For Parental Disputes
The parents have also planned for future disputes regarding their children. They’ve agreed to participate in mediation. But, if either person fails to participate, the other person can make the final decision by default.
Agreeing to mediation might be related to Ye’s history of exposing their parental disputes online. Between January and February, Ye published a series of posts targeting Kim, her employees and family, and a rack of others.
He claimed North was put on TikTok against his will, prompting a lengthy clapback from Kimmy.
Ye also alleged Kim and her family “kidnapped” Chicago by not providing the address to her third birthday party–claims also disputed by Kim and her sister Khloé.
Ye Gifts Kim Home He Bought Next To Her
Regarding spousal support, both Kim and Ye agreed that they’re on their own–waiving the option. The docs also say their assets will be divided according to their prenup.
Remember the home Ye bought next door to Kim? According to TMZ, who first broke the finalized divorce news, the artist will transfer the title of the five-bedroom home to Kimberly. Afterward, she’ll be responsible for the 3,650-square-foot house and its land.
Kanye will reportedly keep his Chicago childhood home, $60 million beachside Malibu mansion, two Wyoming ranches, a Belgium home, and 300 acres in Calabasas. Kim will keep their Hidden Hills home, where she currently lives with the children, and property she owns in Idaho.
West signed over his stake in the Hidden Hills home during early divorce proceedings in September 2021. Kim reportedly paid Ye $20 million for his rights.
The seal on the KimYe era comes about nine months after a judge declared Kimmy legally single. West and Kardashian tied the knot in May 2014 and welcomed four children–the youngest two by surrogate–before Kim filed for divorce in February 2021. One year later, Kim filed additional court docs seeking single status.
“While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage,” Kim said in February’s filing. “Kanye does not agree, but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not. I ask that the Court restore me to the status of a single person so that I can begin the healing process and so that our family can begin the healing process and move forward in this new chapter in our lives.”
Ye has not publicly responded to the finalized divorce. However, the artist has been embroiled in conflict for months with accusations of being anti-Semitic, a $25 million lawsuit, disbanded Yeezy partnerships with Balenciaga, Adidas, and Gap, and a $50 million debt to the IRS.
