Angel Reese’s Cryptic Post Sparks Speculation During Fever-Sun Playoff Game

WNBA fans are speculating after Angel Reese posted a cryptic tweet moments before Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost to the Connecticut Sun.

After having one of the best rookie seasons in WNBA history, Caitlin Clark’s incredible season came to an end against the Connecticut Sun, losing 2-0 in their playoff series. Despite the loss, Clark had a great game, becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to score 25 points and finish with five or more assists and rebounds in a playoff game.

That said, fellow rookie and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made a cryptic post on Twitter or “X” towards the end of the game, which has left fans speculating on what it could mean. Though it’s not confirmed to be about the game, it was posted in alignment with how the game went.

As previously mentioned, fans have speculated on what this could mean, with some theorizing that it could be about Marina Mabrey, who the Sky traded to the Sun earlier in the season. Mabrey had a great game down the stretch, which is what she could be referring to.

“Yea shoulda kept Marina,” said one fan. Another added, “Why cause of Mabrey? Yea y’all were tripping.”

Other fans took the post literally, wishing her to feel better, as one fan said “Get healthy,” with another adding, “Get well soon.”

While the Mabrey theory is the more likely option, it’s impossible to know what she meant as she has yet to specify. Regardless, we hope she’s okay and that there wasn’t a serious situation elsewhere.
