Glen Powell has expressed his deep pride in his friend Lamorne Morris following his recent Emmy win. Morris secured his first Emmy for his role in season 5 of ‘Fargo’, and Powell wasted no time celebrating his achievement.

Shortly after the awards ceremony, Powell took to Instagram Stories to share his excitement. He posted a black-and-white photo of the pair in matching pilot jumpsuits from their 2014 film ‘Sex Ed’, adding a crying face and applause emoji to highlight his joy. Powell praised Morris, calling him an “Emmy Winner” and expressing his immense pride.

The friendship between Powell and Morris, which dates back to their collaboration on Sex Ed, remains strong. Powell’s heartfelt shoutout was soon joined by congratulatory messages from other friends. Hannah Simone, who worked with Morris on ‘New Girl’, also celebrated the win. In her Instagram Stories, she expressed her pride with the message, “Never a doubt in my mind.

So proud of my former roommate and forever working brother.” Max Greenfield, another former co-star from ‘New Girl’, shared Morris’ acceptance speech on his Instagram Stories and added a crown emoji to mark the occasion.

Morris took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his portrayal of Deputy Witt Farr in Fargo. During his acceptance speech, Morris thanked his “beautiful mother” and humorously reflected on his beginnings, saying, “I dropped out of her, her butt, whatever, I know where babies come from.”

He also mentioned his young daughter Lily, promising her that he would succeed despite her doubts. Morris rounded off his speech with a nod to his fellow nominees, including Robert Downey Jr., whom he asked to sign a poster he has at home.
